PV system on ski hall shines again: Milk the Sun cleans on the alpincenter Bottrop

One of the largest and most challenging roof-mounted PV systems once again boasts its original colors. Within just eight days, Milk the Sun performed a professional PV cleaning at the alpincenter Bottrop, the longest ski hall in the world.

Heavy dirt and impurities had settled on the 1.5-megawatt plant in the immediate vicinity of an industrial complex. The various slopes, inclines and angles of the hall led to a more difficult accessibility of individual sections, and the modules also presented an extraordinary challenge: sensitive thin-film modules produced by First Solar.

Harold van Kranen, Managing Director of the alpincenter, is satisfied after the cleaning: “The plant was partly very dirty. It is impressive to see what results could be achieved within such a short cleaning time.” The operation of the ski hall was not impaired by the cleaning at any time.

Kai Daniels, Managing Director of Milk the Sun, summed up: “We are delighted to have been trusted with cleaning the imposing PV plant.” Experience shows that the cleaning of a PV plant leads to increasing yields. Harold van Kranen felt that his decision paid off: “Everything went smoothly from the request for the offer to the final cleaning. We are happy to recommend the cooperation with Milk the Sun. ”
